Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) is a core member of Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG), a Tokyo-based bank holding company that is ranked among the largest 25 banks globally by assets under management.
SMBC Group has offices in 20 cities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) including its regional headquarters in London. In Europe we have a Leveraged Finance Expert platform with 70 people and add. teams in the US and Asia, focussing on companies with an EBITDA starting from EUR 10m to EUR 150m+. We offer a large variety of financing solutions e.g. Senior Debt, Second Lien, HYB, and Revolving Facilities with substantial final take & holds but offering also Direct Lending Solutions through our Direct Lending Fund together with PSC. The current Direct Lending Fund has a volume of EUR 2.0bn. The Fund structure allows to offer an “one stop shopping”, to provide bespoke UT/stretched senior facilities and the super senior RCF out of one hand.
